Hero's Among Us

One of the greatest parts about attending BYU-Idaho,
Is having the opportunity to go to
Devotional every Tuesday.
It allows faculty and students to
Be spiritually enlightened,
And helps me make it through another week of school:)

Today's Devotional was given by,
Brother Guy Hollingsworth!
A.k.a one of my most favorite persons on this earth!!!
I used to work for Brother Hollingsworth until he was deployed on a special mission in Iraq.
Brother Hollingsworth has served in the military since he was seventeen,
And the stories he has shared are incredible!
When I worked for him, he had me work on the coolest project for him!
He bought a large map and wanted me to put pins on each place in the world that the military had taken him.
It took me three days to complete that project because of the years of service he had dedicated to this beautiful country of ours.

With the 4th of July approaching,
I thought I would share Brother Hollingsworth's Devotional with each of you:)
I really needed this today and to remind me how blessed I am to be an American:)
You can find the Devotional here:)

Enjoy:)

Summer Nights

Have I ever mentioned how awesome my husband is?!
The other day he won 4 tickets to the Chukars game, YEE-HAW!:)
We spent the evening with some great friends and a really greasy over-priced hamburger, ha!
The day we went to the game was a
really busy and crazy day,
And it got so busy and crazy I didn't even know if I wanted to go to the game anymore.
But it was one of the BEST evenings ever!:)

It's amazing what a night out at the baseball game
will do for someone:)
It was a beautiful, Idaho summer evening,
And I was able to spend it with my best friend:)
Thanks Sam for making my life
even better than I deserve:)

Happy Days Ahead!!!

I've pretty much fallen off the face of the planet
these past couple of weeks!
Life, school and summer are busy times
But the best of times!:)

Some things I'm looking forward to...
#1. THE FOURTH OF JULY!!!
Seriously, it's my favorite and usually the time when I
get a really bad sunburn, ha!

#2. SCHOOL GETTING OUT!!!
This has been my toughest and most
stressful semester yet,
But the funny thing is,
It's been my most favorite semester!
I LOVE my classes and teachers!
It's been a great slash rough semester so far if you
know what I mean, ha;)

And...
#3. I'M GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!
That's right,
Husband and I are going to Disneyland in September!:)
We convinced Emily and Joe to come with us,
So it's going to be a blast from the past!:)
Sam and I have been talking about going to
Disneyland ever since we got married,
So we are slightly losing sleep over the fact that
we get to go in 74 days!:)
I'm planning on taking an autograph book,
Mostly because I love Olaf and he's pretty much the only character I want to find, ha!
(so if any of you know where i can find him, spill the beans!)
We are so glad that Emily and Joe can come with us so we can share all these Disneyland memories with someone:)
Also, so we can create hilarious photos on
Splash Mountain and such!
We are also going to an Angels game, WOO!:)
I think that's what Sam is most looking forward too;)
We can't wait for our little adventure:)

Life is good though:)
Sam has been working so hard lately,
And I'm grateful for each day that I get to spend
with him:)

Happy Happy Days Ahead:)
