I Want To Get To Know You

Lately,

I have been completely obsessed with reading Biographies!!

Usually I am a Christian Fiction kind of gal,

But I think I've actually read every book in that category,

HA!!

Come oooooooooon,

Everyone loves those sappy love stories where John saves Katie from a near death experience,

And then they get married and live happily ever after!!

(p.s sappy is my middle name, LOVE that kind of stuff!)

So as I have been diligently searching for a

Good book to read,

I have come across so many I would love

To share with all of you:)

Everyone,

Look down at your hands!!

Make sure you see spare time all over them,

Because you wont be able to put these books down!!

Little Green Apples:)

This first book was written by a wonderful

Lady in my ward!

This story is of her son Justin,

Who battled Evan's Syndrome throughout his life.

This book truly shows the tangible evidence of God's love for us:)

Heaven Is Here:)

This book has been very popular ever since it came out,

And it's actually my second time reading it,

And defiantly not my last!

Stephanie Nielson writes about an airplane crash her husband and her were in,

And leaves you with an incredible message of hope, joy, and a new perspective on life!

Camilla:)

If you want to read a book about a truly amazing woman,

This Biography of Camilla Kimball should be at the

Top of your list!

There are so many wonderful women in the LDS Church

That we can turn to, to learn from!

The Burning Within:)

Another story from a woman who was in a

Fatal place crash.

Sometimes these books are so hard to read,

But the message you are left with is lasting and unforgettable!

So those are some of my current favorites:)

As Fall is approaching,

I'm a Homemaker

Sam and I have been gone from our

Apartment for the last little bit,

And I have missed our tiny hole in the wall.

As we have taken the time to dress this little apartment with pictures and things that say

"Family" all over the walls,

This little place has slowly come to feel like home:)

When Sam and I were first married,

I tried out a new recipe that I had loved

Devouring as a child!

My Mom gave me the goods,

And I worked hard to prepare a top-notch dinner

For Sam and I.

When I finished,

And took the first bite of that delicious casserole,

I was pleased:)

I later messaged my Mom a picture of dinner and told her how delish the feast had been,

And how excited I was that I could actually cook something besides a frozen burrito!

My Mom responded back,

"I knew you had it in you all along,

Maybe you just needed your own kitchen to start creating."

I have almost been married for eight months now,

And I can truly say that I have enjoyed every second more than I thought possible:)

I have enjoyed diving into this new role people call,

A Homemaker:)

I am excited for the dreams I am pursuing,

And for the college degree I will soon hold in my hands,

But nothing will ever top the happiness of being a homemaker brings to me:)

Cooking in our small kitchen,

Doing the endless loads of laundry,

Cleaning and tiding up the apartment,

Anticipating Sam's arrival through the door,

And dreaming endlessly of the day babies will allow us to expand what that word, 

"FAMILY"

Truly means as it hangs on our walls,

Is what I live for and strive for each and every day:)

I love being a wife.

A homemaker.

I love that this is the role I get to indulge in:)

I am happy to be Chelsie Cannon,

And to call Sam my Lover:)

Happy Birthday Abby Kate

14 Years Ago,

Sam's little sister Abby Kate passed away.

I've of course never met Abby,

But have heard so much about this sweet angel and the spirit little Abby brings to the Cannon home:)

When Sam and I were engaged I decided that I wanted my bridesmaids to be my sisters and sisters to be!

I was so excited about this because that meant I would have seven bridesmaids of all my favorite beautiful Ladies that meant so much to me!:)

When I decided this though I could not get Abby off my mind.

I knew that I really had eight bridesmaids,

And that Abby would be wearing coral and tiffany blue on December 27th along with us:)

The day Sam and I were getting married,

I told Sam that I had a surprise I needed him to help me with before we went to our brunch!

I had a bouquet for Abby that I wanted to drop off before the day started:)

So Sam and I had the opportunity to go to the cemetery the morning before the day got started to take Abby her bouquet:)

It honestly was one of the most special moments in my life.

Family is everything to Sam and I,

And we sure love everyone we are blessed with in this life that we get to keep forever:)

So to my sister,

My Bridesmaid,

And a little lady I cant wait to meet someday,

The End Is Near

In two weeks,

Husband and I will be done with school!!

{insert happy dance here}

{And here}

{Oh and one more time here because I am really happy}

:)

Since the moment Sam stepped off the plane I feel like life hasn't slowed down,

And who knows if it will after school ends!

One can wish though;)

We are watching a movie tonight,

On a bed we made on our floor,

It's the ultimate sleepover if you ask me;)

For dinner,

We ate popcorn and velveeta mac and cheese...

Don't worry,

I tried two new recipes this week,

It's ok to eat like little children every once in awhile:)

Tomorrow my sister is coming to stay with us for three days,

To say I'm excited is an understatement:)

This blog post was going somewhere,

But I think I mostly started this post to tell everyone I made cookies,

And they were kinda really good:)

I substituted our chocolate chip cookies with white chocolate chips,

Probably going to do that every time from now on:)

Delish!!!

One more thing,

We went to the farmers market today.

We bought cherries,

But can't eat them until tomorrow,

{we are going on a hike, yay!!}

They are burning a hole in our fridge...

I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight,

In fear that I'll wake to see Sam eating them all;)

Hahaha!!!

Rexburg Farmers Market is the bomb,

Better check it out if you have the chance:)

Six Months of Absolute Bliss

Hey:)

I've been married to my best friend for SIX MONTHS now!!:)

Ladies and Gents,

That's half a year!!

I can't even believe how fast time has gone!

I sure have enjoyed every part of this adventure with my Sam:)

Ok,

I'm not going to lie,

I look at our wedding pictures EVERY DAY!!

I'll be sitting on the couch,

Look over at Sam and say,

"Look at this picture, I love it!:)"

Sam is also so kind to reply,

"I love that picture too!!"

With much enthusiasm like he hasn't seen the picture everyday for the past six months!!

Haha:D

I'm still in shock that I am married to my best friend,

That I'm a Cannon,

And that everyday I get to wake up next to Sam:)

I am blessed.

I just wanted to share some pics that I've been starring at more than usual lately,

Everything is like 70% off,

These were both a steal of a deal,

And they are SO SO comfy!:)

I also got this new nail polish from K-Mart,

Kind of obsessed with the mint color these days!

I love this summer dress I found!

It's from a little shop in Rexburg called LuLu Bella!:)

They seriously have the cutest things there!!

I have to have some serious self control when I shop there!;D

I found this hat in Vegas from a random vendor,

But it's my fav!:)

These heels changed my life!:)

I bought them for the wedding from,

Scheels!!

Yeah,

The sports store!

I came across them and had to have them!:)

I am finding out that these heels are great for any season and any occasion!:)

They are SO comfy,

And can dress up any summer outfit,

Or night out on the town with the husband!:)
